It is more than that: what makes a home admirable is the feeling of freedom, comfort and spaciousness that it provides. To look from the inside out and understand that everything is complete and part of a whole. At the Ieda Residence, the AURA 125C series collaborated to maintain the personality of each environment, minimizing noise, reducing temperatures and highlighting the details of the beautiful architectural project.
Nature is an essential part of the project of this farm on the side of Serra Fluminense. The open spaces, the balcony and the view of the mountains would be enough to create a charming place. But there are the indoor environments and the comfort they provide. The AURA 125C series was applied for a truly noble function: maintaining the privacy of the house and, at the same time, integrating it with the natural beauty around it.
Outside, a fabulous view of the West Zone of Rio, plenty of outdoor space and contemplation of the landscape by the pool. Connecting the external and internal area of the house – which also has a more than privileged environment – is the AURA 125C series. With its discreet design and unparalleled functionality, it softens the actions of heat and wind and ensures watertightness against rain, in addition to bringing even more beauty to the composition of wood and stone designed by architect Thiago Bernardes.
The Birmann 32 corporate building is located at Av. Brigadeiro Faria Lima, 3732, in the Faria Lima / Itaim Bibi region in São Paulo / SP. Classified as AAA (triple A), it comes in great style for the select group of the best corporate buildings in the city, including as a reference in the standard of quality, sustainability and execution time, with international certifications. It is, without a doubt, the newest and most impressive landmark in the city.
The daring project signed by M.Pei Associates, with its imposing tower of 125m in height, will have in its surroundings a modern theater, a square for events and the sculpture of a large stylized whale. Its facade, as a predominant element, is unitized AURA 125FAU – AURA System | TERA Metals – high performance in all aspects, including tested in the USA and executed by ITEFAL.
O projeto de retrofit do edifício CapFerrat, de autoria do arquiteto Juan Carlos Di Filippo, revitalizou com classe e sofisticação um edifício tradicional e emblemático na Avenida Vieira Souto, em frente à famosa praia de Ipanema, localizado em um dos metros quadrados mais caros do planeta. A solução foi tão ousada quanto sofisticada: fechar a área das varandas de todos os apartamentos utilizando AURA 125C, garantindo alta performance acústica com folhas de alçar-correr de grandes dimensões para valorizar ainda mais a vista única e privilegiada. Ponto que merece destaque: externamente, todos os perfis das esquadrias possuem a mesma cor, porém alguns proprietários decidiram aplicar cores diferentes no lado interno. Uma vantagem singular do perfil com Thermal Break.
O envidraçamento do espaço gourmet da bela propriedade no interior de São Paulo era foco de grandes problemas: não barrava a água da chuva, deixava o ambiente muito quente em dias de calor, gelado nos dias de frio e emperrava com regularidade. A solução foi certeira: resolver tudo com uma única esquadria e criar mais uma vantagem – mais espaço com a porta camarão AURA 55A TB. Foram decisivos para o projeto o vidro insulado e os perfis AURA 55A TB (fazendo a perfeita combinação para a melhor proteção térmica), mais a dupla linha de vedação para alta estanqueidade e a função articulada ‘camarão’ para abertura total do vão. Na imagem também se vê, na varanda, o guarda corpo de vidro AURA 135 GC para máxima transparência e segurança. Tudo testado em laboratório segundo as normas técnicas vigentes.

In order to pass such a rigorous performance test, without reservations, is required a product that values total quality.
A fundamental element of the Birmann 32 landmark, the AURA 125 FAU facade by TERA METAIS overcame a major challenge: having its performance tested in an internationally recognized laboratory, the CRL (Construction Research Laboratory) in Miami / USA – where it was tested none other than the Petronas Towers facade, among other icons.
The unprecedented success experience for complex facades of Brazilian enterprises was carried out by the AURA System team of TERA Metais and became part of the company’s history. To give you an idea, the test prototype – representing with accuracy a large corner segment of the building’s facade – had three angles of positive and negative inclination, totaling an area of 180m².
What made this test a milestone? In addition to the tests foreseen in NBR 10.821 (air permeability, water tightness, resistance and safety) with a wind pressure of 200 kgf / m², the prototype was subjected to a dynamic pressure test with a propeller plane engine, simulating a real situation. There was also a second step of the tightness test, after the maximum efforts were applied in the strength test.
The result and the certificate, for the satisfaction of the customer, partners and of course, for the joy of our team, prove the excellence of our work.
Architect Fabiano Hayasaki designed the impressive Arena do Conhecimento (Knowledge Arena) at CASACOR 2019, an environment where the architect’s creative energy and transformation ability is present in every detail. A prominent element to harmoniously combine the internal and external environments, the minimalist AURA 45WV door chosen by the architect Fabino Hayasaki offers visual breadth with slender profiles and lightness in its functionality, with the guarantee ensured by cutting-edge technology. The new AURA System accredited partner in Porto Alegre, KASPER ESQUADRIAS from Porto Alegre, held an event for architects and builders at FIERGS in Porto Alegre, presenting the audience with the company’s success story and growth plans at this moment of recovery of Brazil’s economic.

At the H + stand ‘solutions for safer clinical and hospital environments’ TERA Metais exhibited – 16/05 to 19/05/2017 at Expo Center Norte – with great names in the construction industry, its windows systems of high thermal and acoustic performance and for large glass thicknesses, in special solutions such as: turn-tilt windows with hidden sash and hardware and removable locks.
The exposed windows are ideal for hospitals and clinics, because in addition to their functionality and practicality, they have fewer gaps and overhangs, but also attract attention, their elegance and sophistication, and are therefore also suitable for hotels, offices and homes.
It took place on the night of April 27, 2017, at the ‘Grupo Foco’ event space in Belo Horizonte and promoted by CRJ ESQUADRIAS with the participation of TERA Metais, the event which had the theme ‘windows systems for high thermal and acoustic performance’ – bringing together architects and specifiers of the first magnitude of this great city.
In January 2017, the board of TERA Metais and AURA System were at BAU in Munich / Germany, with partner suppliers and fabricators, to get to know the new trends of aluminum window and façade systems live – in order to update and expand its portfolio of products and services in Brazil.

TERA Metais ‘board was at VETECO 2016 in October, at the invitation of systemist INDALSU, its technological partner in Europe and to start the development of new window and product series in Brazil.
Folding brise-soleil is an aluminum shutter that has the function of offering sun and visual protection for openings in homes, residences and buildings in general.
The folding brise-soleil has its chassis composed of extruded aluminum profiles, articulated by hinges not visible from the outside and rollers that slide in embedded rails, in the aluminum profiles fixed or embedded in the building’s support structure (concrete, masonry).
The chassis can receive various types of coverings – for example, rectangular or trapezoidal slatted profiles, arranged horizontally or vertically, allowing a hollow effect, which also offers permanent ventilation. Coatings on metal sheets, wood, metal screens or textiles, can also be integrated into the chassis, which allows efficient control of lighting and ventilation indoors.
AURA 40 BM is the folding brise-soleil system developed to meet the requirements of the Brazilian market, which is based on the technological solutions guaranteed by its partner INDALSU in Spain, a region with strong solar and heat incidence, where articulated brise is in high demand.
For the door or window, whatever the type, to reach the performance requirements demanded by the current standards, it is necessary that its seals, fittings and profiles are dimensioned and tested for this – all AURA System windows systems meet these requirements – the folding brise-soleils does not have the purpose of guaranteeing watertightness according to the requirements of standards, since its main function is sun and visual protection, thus acting as a folding frame in addition to the main window or door, which is responsible for the performance required in standards, namely: air permeability, water tightness, mechanical resistance, thermal protection and acoustic protection. Therefore, folding brise-soleil is a decisive factor for environmental comfort and energy saving, in addition to being a strong architectural element.
